Simplicity for Mobile Devices can be purchased at $195 and Simplicity for Mobile Servers for only $995
"Simplicity tools allow corporations and developers to create tailor made applications that handle their specific needs. Java was created specifically to run on any platform and it has always been part of our mission to take advantage of that power. Now, Simplicity tools support the expanding mobile enterprise market with everything a designer needs to connect the corporate enterprise to field employees or customers" said Carl Sayers, president and co-founder of Data Representations.
About Simplicity Mobile Development Tools
The Simplicity family of products are Rapid Application Development tools
for Java, built to make fast work of creating professional Java applications. Simplicity for Mobile Servers include the capability to build MIDlets, Servlets,
allow database integration, and test applications across a variety of operating
systems. Simplicity includes many live emulators that enable developers to see each line of code operate, as it will in the actual device without ever compiling. The development environment is completely visual so a developer can drag components from a palette and place them in an organized fashion.
Simplicity Mobile Development tools offers new capabilities that allow
developers to build SQL queries graphically, and tie the resulting data
into their applications without programming. The tools may be used with
any JDBC- or ODBC- compliant database server. These capabilities automate the process for creating requests and responses between the mobile device and the server that accesses the back-end database. Most, if not all, of the Servlet can be written automatically without manual text editing. The standard version of Simplicity for Mobile Devices allows a developer to create MIDP applications and use an alternate tool to create the J2EE application.
