The Rejuvenation Edition of Simplicity Enterprise lets you easily incorporate legacy applications running on AS/400, Mainframes and Unix Servers as sources of data. Using graphical modules, data is automatically detected, configured and incorporated into J2EE applications. The core technology Simplicity Enterprise: Rejuvenation Edition can transform existing applications using 3270, 5250, and VT terminal types. Once the data is extracted, it can be combined with modules targeting any J2EE technology such as JDBC and XML.

The Enterprise Servlet Composer, a key element of Simplicity Enterprise: Rejuvenation Edition, includes a palette of modules containing all the typical features which you as a developer need when building server-side applications. Now you can select the required features, drop them into a graphical Program Execution tree, configure the modules, and test the Servlet. And you can do it all in an integrated environment built for seamless development and testing.

The WebMacro template processing engine is used to merge the information produced by the servlet into a document to be delivered to the client (often HTML or WML, but any document type may be used). This approach completely separates the program logic from the presentation, allowing the graphic designer and the software developer to work independently.

The Palette contains modules for working with databases via JDBC, parsing XML, and manipulating files, as well as modules for controlling flow of execution and http header manipulation. Simplicity Enterprise: Rejuvenation Edition provides an open API where developers can add their own custom modules to the palette, allowing the flexibility to meet individual and industry-specific needs.
