Adding Modules to the Enterprise Composer Parts Tree

Modules may be dragged from the palette to the Modules node of an Enterprise Servlet parts tree. Modules may not be dropped anywhere else in the Enterprise Servlet. Modules are executed in the order that they appear in the tree. Some Modules require the presence of other Modules to be fully functional, so placing them in the correct order is crucial. Once a Module is dropped into the Modules node of an Enterprise Servlet, it may be moved to another location in the tree simply by dragging it there. This makes it easy to re-arrange mis-dropped Modules or move a Module that is no longer needed to the Recycling Bin. The Enterprise Composer provides visual clues as to whether or not a Module can be dropped in a particular location. When the Module being dragged is over a location that it cannot be legally dropped, a symbol that is similar to the do not enter sign (a black circle with a diagonal slash through it) will appear. If a Module is dropped when over such a location, then it will simply disappear with no harm done. When the Module being dragged is over a location that it is permitted to be dropped, then a red-line will appear where the Module will go if dropped. In such a case, dropping the Module will add the Module to the Parts Tree in the location that is indicated by the red line. Note that the red line appears below the icon for the node that the Module will go below. Since mode Modules have at least one sub-node, the line will be between the Module top level node and the first sub-node, though, when dropped the new Module will be the next Module down in the tree. New Modules will not add nodes as sub-nodes of other Modules.
