Using the MID Emulator

Using the MID Emulator with a MIDlet

To interact with a running MIDlet in the MID Emulator, a user may use the keyboard of the computer which is running Simplicity for Mobile Devices to interact with most aspects of the Emulator. The controls on the MID Emulator may also be used to navigate MIDlets and enter information using the mouse.

Commands are activated by pressing the corresponding button on the MID Emulator beneath each command label. If there are more Commands for a screen than buttons, a More... Command will be shown which will list all of the Commands for that screen.

In a Form displayed on the MID Emulator, only one part may be edited at a time. This part is indicated by a dark border. Some parts, like the TextFields, must have the enter key or button pressed before they can be edited. When a TextField is being edited, it will be displayed on a different screen.
