External Editors

The External Editors page contains the following text fields.

• Path to Sun Microsystems's MIDP Emulator This field may specify the location of Sun's MIDP Emulator. Note that this emulator must be obtained separately from Sun.
• Path to Nokia Developer Suite This field may specify the location of the Nokia emulator. Note that the Nokia Developer Suite must be obtained separately from Nokia.
• Pre-verifier Executable This field may specify the location of a tool which will pre-verify java Class files before creating a Jar file.
• Palm OS Platform PRC Installer This field may specify the location of a tool which will install a PRC onto a Palm OS Platform based handheld computer.
  Example: C:\palm\Instapp.exe
• Preferred Web Browser This is the full path to the web browser in which the user has chosen to view HTML pages.
  Example: /usr/local/bin/netscape
• Preferred Java Editor If this field is left blank, then Java source files will be edited with Simplicity for Mobile Devices's Java Editor. Otherwise, the user may specify their favorite editor here.
  Example: /usr/bin/vi
• Preferred Text Editor If this field is left blank, text files will be edited with Simplicity for Mobile Devices's Text Editor. Otherwise, the user may specify their favorite editor here.
  Example: C:\Win95\Notepad.exe
