Java system operations

These options interact with the Java Virtual Machine and the underlying Mobile Devices. They include

• Query the total amount of system memory
• Query the amount of free memory
• Run the garbage collector
• Get a string with the current date and time
• Query the value of a system property...
• Suspend the current thread for a specified number of milliseconds
• Exit the MIDlet
• Write text to the standard output...
• Write text to the standard error...

Note that a MID-enabled device might not display the standard output or standard error.
